William Humphries was born in the year 1750, most likely in the present Kings Mountain area of North Carolina.  He married Marianne Walker who was born in the year 1750 and died at age 35 in 1785.  William Humphries died in Spartanburg, South Carolina at the age of 75 on May 30, 1825.
